IMPORTANT NOTE! READ BEFORE PURCHASING...you must enter your vehicles VIN, as well as your AutoSync serial number in the "notes/comments" section when placing your order.
If you have an AutoSync and a 2017+ vehicle, you are aware of the frustrating security limitations that GM has placed on the 2017+ BCM software.
AutoSync features such as strobe lights, reverse work lights, SecurIdle, windows-up from keyfob, auxiliary approach lights, and work lights do NOT work "out of the box" on 2017+ vehicles...until now!
After a huge amount of work and development, we have come up with a proprietary BCM unlock solution that bypasses the security lockouts and decrypts BCM keys on 2017+ K2xx/T1xx trucks/SUV's, as well as Colorado/Canyon***.
NOTE: This unlock will NOT enable full BCM tuning, a separate license purchase is required to enable BCM tuning. The features that this license purchase enables are: strobe lights while driving, keyfob operated windows, auxiliary approach lights, work lights, reverse work lights, cargo light approach lamps, turbo timer, and SecureIdle.
NOTE: this unlock will NOT enable launch control on 2017+ vehicles, unfortunately launch control is in the ABS module, for which we do not have an unlock solution.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS: After purchasing this license, your AutoSync should automatically connect to the cloud and download the unlock software within 24 hours (provided your AutoSync is registered at autosync.btdieselworks.com, paired to your home WiFi, and the vehicle is parked within range of your WiFi network). Once the AutoSync has the unlock software installed, you must do the unlock procedure listed below:
- K2xx truck/SUV/Colorado/Canyon procedure---
- Cycle the ignition ON engine OFF, wait 10 seconds. (for vehicles with push-button-start, press and HOLD the start button with your foot off the brake pedal for several seconds until the ignition turns fully on)
- Open the AutoSync on-screen menu (press cruise cancel button)
- Scroll to page 4 of the AutoSync main menu
- Click on "Module Programming"
- Click on "2017+ BCM Unlock"
- The unlock procedure should only take a couple of seconds. If a "purchase required" message appears, unplug the AutoSync, plug it back in, and perform the WiFi firmware update.
- After the unlock procedure finishes, cycle the ignition off
- IMPORTANT NOTE FOR COLORADO/CANYON---after the BCM unlock, if the truck doesnt start and seems "dead", cycle the ignition OFF, then disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for a minute, and reconnect.
- The BCM should now be permanently unlocked, and all of the previously non-functional AutoSync BCM features should now work.
- In the rare event that the AutoSync flash memory gets cleared for some reason and the strobe lights while driving stops working, simply just run the unlock procedure again (steps 2-8).
- T1xx truck procedure---
- Cycle ignition ON engine OFF, wait 10 seconds (for vehicles with push-button-start, press and HOLD the start button with your foot off the brake pedal for several seconds until the ignition turns fully on)
- Press and hold the brake pedal
- Move the turn signal lever to the left turn position (so the blinker is on)
- Press the drivers door lock button near the door handle
- The AutoSync LED should start flashing red/blue, indicating the procedure is starting.
- Within 10 seconds or so, the AutoSync LED should change to quickly flashing blue-only, indicating that the procedure is complete.
- Cycle the ignition off, wait 10 seconds.
- The BCM should now be permanently unlocked, and all of the previously non-functional AutoSync BCM features should now work.
- In the rare event that the AutoSync flash memory gets cleared for some reason and the strobe lights while driving stops working, simply just run the unlock procedure again (steps 2-8).
***except Global-B vehicles such as 2021+ tahoe/suburban etc, 2022.5+ 'refreshed' half ton pickups, and the upcoming 2024+ 2500/3500 pickups.
